See it before you fill it in

A number you can follow. A sheet you can keep.

You should not have to finish a form to understand what it gives you. This worked example starts with volume and no confirmed weight.

  1. Enter what you know. The volume gives a provisional weight basis.
  2. See the alternatives. The route prices are choices—not costs to add together.
  3. Keep the open questions. Packing, gross weight and surcharges still need checking.

The calculator checks arithmetic and matching route bands. It does not inspect your goods or prove the final invoice will match. Buildcargo checks the actual shipment before booking.

Building materials & furniture

What turns an empty house into your home.

Doors and windows. A dressing table or bar. Rugs, artwork and the lights above them. One item or purchases from several suppliers—start with what you want to ship.

Not part of this service: Cement, Mortar, Light-gauge steel framing and studs, Other basic construction materials. Each home product still needs a cargo, packing, route and destination check. The furniture reference library is a budgeting aid—not the limit of what we ship.

One item is a place to start

You do not need a whole house of furniture.

Still comparing products? Already paid a supplier? Start with the situation you are in.

A small-item enquiry is welcome. The team confirms acceptance and the suitable transport method for your actual goods and destination.

From planning to shipping

Keep the price. Check the plan behind it.

Your estimate gives you a starting point. Review the actual cargo, additional charges and delivery arrangements with the same Buildcargo team, then keep the written shipping plan.

  1. Receive your supplier orders

Agree receiving instructions before suppliers send goods. Match arrivals to your order list, whether you bought one item or from several suppliers.

  2. Measure, check packing, confirm the price

Review actual package sizes and weights, needed protection and differences from your estimate. Keep additional charges visible in the written quote.

  3. Follow the shipment through to handover

Check dated loading and transport updates. Confirm the delivery point and unloading arrangements before the goods arrive.

What these shipment records can—and cannot—prove

These are Buildcargo Logistics shipment records, not bookings made through this new calculator. They demonstrate the work on those shipments, not a guaranteed price, timing, customs treatment or delivery result for yours.

United States: This completed shipment record is not an estimate-accuracy test or a promised transit time. New cargo still needs its own written quote and delivery scope.

Canada: The 607 items are not cartons, packages or SKUs. Small home goods were part of a combined household shipment; this is not proof of a standalone small-parcel service.

Spain: Shows this shipment's scope and outcome, not a universal unloading method, damage-free guarantee or price for new cargo.

Meet the business behind the website

Foshan Cargo helps you plan.

Turn the information you have into a calculation, a list of unknowns and the right questions before you buy.

Buildcargo Logistics checks and ships.

The team reviews the actual cargo, packing, customs and delivery conditions, then issues the written logistics quote and carries out the booked shipment.

Compare the same cargo and the same scope. A cheaper headline alone does not tell you whether the declaration or delivery plan is sound.

What a quote needs to explain

Before you spend

Good questions come before a good quote.

No packing list yet? That is a reason to start a conversation, not a reason to stop here.

Can I start before choosing the furniture?

Yes. Start with your country and postcode, or leave the postcode unknown. Choose a home-size reference, select the goods you plan to buy, or enter known packed volume. The sheet creates an editable list and volume range, then calculates eligible DDP base-freight scenarios automatically from available volume data. Goods without usable packing volume stay on your list for follow-up; any priced subtotal excludes them. Reference rooms and packing are planning assumptions, not confirmed shipment facts.

Can I calculate without knowing the weight?

Yes. With a supported destination, valid postcode and CBM, the estimator can calculate using volume-based weight for now. The sheet marks gross weight as unknown. When final packed volume and gross weight are available, the higher weight basis applies.

Can I ask about only one small item?

Yes. Send the item and destination even if you do not know its packing. Small home goods start with a suitability and transport-method review; the website does not promise that every item has an automatic sea or express price.

Why might the final quote be higher?

The displayed amount is DDP base freight only. Final packing or gross weight may change the calculation, and shipment-specific surcharges or delivery work may add cost. Those unknowns stay visible for written review.

Does the calculator prove the final price will be accurate?

It makes the arithmetic and assumptions checkable. It does not prove that estimated packing is final or that all shipment conditions are known. We do not publish an accuracy percentage; compare the sheet with the final packing list and written quote.
